Nora Sharp
Swine Ball is an innovative performance project inspired by a carnivalesque charity event in Nashville, where my grandfather, a progressive city council member, was photographed in drag in the early 1980s. This powerful image serves as a starting point for exploring themes of queerness, political activism, and otherness within my family and as a reflection of our broader political landscape.
Currently in the early stages of research and development, Swine Ball aims to weave together personal history and social commentary through a dynamic blend of movement, narrative, and dramatic elements.
