Maggie Bridger

This project delves into care practices originating from the disability community, particularly focusing on how we adapt and modify spaces to accommodate our needs and those of our community. Through an in-depth exploration of the crip practice known as "nest" making—transforming small living spaces (such as couches and beds) into centralized hubs containing all necessary tools—this work invites audiences into a space aimed at seeking comfort for both artists and viewers alike.

In collaboration with disabled fashion artist and designer, Sandie Yi, I will explore how crip nest making can inform and transform the artmaking process.
