A dynamic multi-media performance project, intertwining movement, oral history interviews, and poetry, aims to explore themes of patience, resilience, and the lessons imparted by nature. This piece delves into the depths of the human experience, challenging societal norms and embracing discomfort as an essential part of growth. Drawing inspiration from the techniques of Martha Graham, Lester Horton, and global movement theorists, this performance piece will employ captivating choreography to examine the limits of sustaining motion and confront the societal pressure to evade discomfort. The project aims to foster a profound dialogue around the appreciation of nature's wisdom and the peace found in embracing challenges. By intertwining movement, oral history, and poetry, it seeks to evoke a sense of connection, resilience, and hope within our community.
