"Project description"

CHINELA, la que brinca y brama is a solo performance that celebrates the strength and resilience of women. Inspired by el brinco del chinelo—a traditional dance from Morelos, Mexico, rooted in a history of inequality and labor exploitation—this work transforms energetic jumps into acts of resistance and solidarity. This multidisciplinary work blends dance, tradition, and multimedia to explore how movement connects personal and collective memory.
