Hideous is a feature-length screenplay that delves into the supernatural thriller genre, exploring profound themes of identity, status, and the hidden demons within us all. The narrative centers on Simeon Saul, a former NFL player who becomes ensnared in a cult-like relationship with a wealthy couple. As he is drawn deeper into their world, he is corrupted by the supernatural art pieces they venerate.
The project involves a staged reading of the screenplay, bringing together professional actors to perform the script at one of the Logan Center Theater spaces. This performance aims to bring the characters and story to life, followed by an in-depth discussion to refine and finalize the script for production. This reading will not only help in shaping the screenplay but also provide a platform for critical feedback and creative collaboration.
