Description:
Don’t miss this special opportunity to expand upon your ballet technique with New York City Ballet soloist Daniel Applebaum while he is visiting UChicago to perform in Reimagining the  Ballet des Porcelaines: A Story of Magic, Desire, and Exotic Entanglement. Daniel will draw from a range of technical approaches including the Balanchine Method, a rigorous technique developed by choreographer George Balanchine that focuses on quick movements coupled with a more open use of the upper body. The Balanchine Method continues to be the foundational training technique for dancers at the School of American Ballet (affiliated with New York City Ballet).
