Untitled (Trio) is Zachary Nicol, Anna Martine Whitehead, and Tara Aisha Willis.
Zachary Nicol is an artist and performer based in Chicago. Their work uses research in
dance, improvisation, site, and image to unfold problems of representation and paradox
in the performing body. Recent presentations of solo and collaborative work include:
Museo Universitaro del Chopo, BACAL (CDMX), Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago,
6018|North, Blanc Gallery, Roman Susan, Links Hall (Chicago, IL) and Krannert Center
for the Performing Arts (Urbana, IL). They work regularly as a performer and
collaborator with independent dance, film, and performance makers, and as a
dramaturg for dance and theatre.
Anna Martine Whitehead does performance and its remains from the homelands of the
Council of the Three Fires, among others. They make art and write about race, gender,
and moving bodies; and support coalition movements committed to repair and
transformation.
Tara Aisha Willis is a Chicago and Troy, NY-based dance artist, writer, dramaturg, and
curator. She is Curator of Dance/Theater at EMPAC, holds a PhD in Performance
Studies from NYU, and has performed for artists like Jasmine Hearn, Vanessa
Anspaugh, Will Rawls, Yanira Castro, devynn emory, and Paulina Olowska. Her latest
